IntensiQuench® Services
The IQ Technologies "CAN DO" Team provides the following services to steel part designers, part makers, and heat-treating equipment manufacturers:
1) Demonstration and validation of the IntensiQuench® process in the following production equipment:
Standalone 6,000-gallon IQ water tank equipped with a 36"x48" atmosphere furnace installed at Akron Steel Treating Co. of Akron, Ohio. The IQ system can quench a load of up to 3,000lb.
Atmosphere integral quench 36"x36"x72" furnace equipped with an 11,000-gallon IQ water tank installed at Euclid Heat Treating Co. of Cleveland, Ohio. The furnace can quench a load of up to 4,000lb.
Single-part quenching high water flow velocity IQ system equipped with an induction heating station for processing parts of up to 6" diameter and 20" length and installed at Ajax TOCCO Magnethermic Detroit Development & Support Center.
2) Demonstration of Direct from Forge Intensive Quenching (DFIQ™) process in forging shops using IQ Technologies’ portable 600-gallon DFIQ unit
3) Computer modeling of IntensiQuench® processes in cooperation with DANTE Solutions, Inc. of Cleveland, Ohio.
4) Development of IntensiQuench® processes that provide an optimum combination of material mechanical properties and residual surface compressive stresses for part superior performance characteristics and longer service life.
5) Design and fabrication of turnkey IntensiQuench® equipment and integration of IntensiQuench® processes into part manufacturing cells by IQ Technologies Inc. in cooperation with major heat-treating equipment manufacturers such as Surface Combustion, AFC-Holcroft, Ajax TOCCO Magnethermic, etc.
